Even if you have attended in the past, this is a new class of Students with new ideas and perhaps you can come back with what you have learned from previous sessions. The Douglas College Therapeutic Recreation Program really appreciates your participation and the feedback provided for the students in their course of studies so you are extremely valuable. Feel free to pass on this opportunity to family, friends and others in the community who might benefit from a variety of health promotion strategies.

This session explores the benefits of creative journaling as a way to manage stress. You will be provided with the prompts, tools, and skills to try different approaches to creative journaling. Come learn how to use journaling to enhance your health!

This session uses guided visualization as a technique to recapture joyful leisure experiences. Come learn about the connection between mind, body, and health!

Are you letting your worries keep you awake? During this session we will share techniques to get a better nights rest. Come learn about key sleep hygiene practices that will help you get more rest and feel less stressed!

Did you know what you eat makes a difference in your stress levels? Come and learn how we can eat for building immunity and reducing stress. Perhaps there will even be a tasty treat to tempt your taste buds!

Exploring Mindfulness Meditation
This session will demystify mindfulness meditation by introducing a variety of exercises that make it simple to get started. Come learn how to incorporate mindfulness into your everyday life!
